Martha Piper

Martha is Rare’s Senior Vice President, Strategy and Growth. Prior to this appointment, she served on Rare’s Board for 2 years as part of her portfolio management duties at New Profit Inc. At New Profit, Martha played a leading role in designing New Profit’s annual Gathering of Leaders, and overseeing New Profit’s communications efforts. Prior to coming to New Profit, Martha was a Managing Director at the Corporate Executive Board. In her nine years there, Martha led the Corporate Strategy Board, a business unit helping strategy and corporate development executives build and improve their grow strategies. She also led the Operations Practice, which included three business units serving supply chain, procurement, and corporate real estate executives. She held broad P&L responsibility for product, sales, and marketing strategy. Martha also spent several years as a consultant at Ernst & Young and in the insurance industry. Martha graduated from Miami University with a B.A. in International Studies, and received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Virginia’s Darden School.
