Oly Bracho

Oly is Rare’s vice president, finance and operations. Oly has over fifteen years experience in international finance and operations. She has mainly worked at senior level financial and operational positions at international conservation non-for profit organizations. Prior to joining Rare, she worked at Conservation International (CI) as the Senior Operations Director for Field Programs. At CI, she led efforts to ensure that programs were well positioned by formulating and implementing sound sustainable financing strategies and relying on optimal operational structures. She also worked at The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and World Wildlife Fund (WWF) leading financial and operational functions setting up operational systems and procedures, opening and closing field program offices, developing and implementing operational strategic plans, managing budgets and grants, and forming and leading operational teams.

Oly holds a master's degree in international management, specializing in international finance from University of Maryland and received her undergraduate degree in economics from University of Maryland as well. An American and Venezuelan citizen, Oly speaks fluent English and Spanish.
